Intern Analyst

Kyle Anderson is a rising senior at the University of Chicago majoring in Urban Studies and Business Economics. He is interested in how public entities and private firms can jointly generate affordable and sustainable outcomes in the built environment.

Prior to joining the team at Essence, Kyle has completed internships in Salt Lake City and Chicago, working across research-based initiatives in sustainable urban development, city planning, and affordable homeownership. He is also the managing editor of Expositions Magazine, a student-led publication at the University of Chicago that centers place-based narratives. Through these experiences, Kyle has developed a deep appreciation for how cities are transformed—and he hopes to play a part in allowing residents to be at the helm of that process.
