Mariama Diallo
Intern Analyst
Mariama Diallo is an aspiring affordable housing professional with a strong interest in real estate development, community impact, and expanding access to quality housing opportunities. She recently completed the Housing Career Pathways Training Program through Brooklyn Workforce Innovations, where she developed a strong foundation in affordable housing, tenant eligibility, compliance, fair housing regulations, and Housing Connect processes.
Currently serving as an Intern at Essence Development, Mariama is gaining hands-on experience in affordable housing development, property management, compliance, leasing, and project planning. Through this internship, she has developed a deeper understanding of how affordable housing projects are financed, developed, managed, and delivered to communities throughout New York City.
Mariama holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and is continuing her education in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics. She is passionate about using business knowledge and data-driven decision-making to support community development and increase access to affordable housing. Her long-term goal is to build a career that combines housing, economic development, and meaningful community impact.
